Volunteering for the Salvation Army
 The Salvation Army is the largest and most diverse social welfare provider in the world. The Salvation Army has an established network of services for the unemployed, the aged, the homeless, alcohol and drug addicts, the poor and hungry, prisoners' rehabilitation, victims of violence, survivors of suicide, the disabled, deserted and neglected children and families, migrants, missing persons and disaster victims.
Today, the Salvos are held in high regard by the general public. No only are they a leading force in the provision of social welfare services, they are looked to by government and the broader community for advice on policy issues relating to substance abuse, gambling, homelessness and other relevant social problems.

What does Volunteering for the SA do for you?

- Help more people in the community by involving volunteers in tasks which may be impossible or impractical for paid staff.
- Increase public awareness of The Salvation Army, its services and its needs.
- Ensure a more cost effective service, making best use of funds available.

- mailroom team
- research
- shop attendant
- gardening
- accompanying aged care clients on excursions

- bus driving
- emergency services
